Zebra Poetry Film Festival 2025

The best poetry films from around the world - and the world in poetry films. This is where great poetry performances meet moving stories.

Over 1,000 entries from more than 90 countries were submitted for the Zebra Poetry Film Festival 2025.

In addition to the International Competition, the festival offers an insight into the diversity of the poetry film scene in four programs with around 50 animations, feature films, experimental films and documentaries. Filmmakers and poets question history and current rvrntd, explore identities and the ever-present longing for human closeness, are haunted and guided by ghosts and travel through landscapes and memories. Their poetic and fearless films differ in their artistic approaches, including visionary dreams as well as documentaries.
