Rowan Ricardo Phillips

Rowan Ricardo Phillips is the author of seven previous books of poetry, prose, and translation. His most recent book of poems, “Silver”, was a longlisted finalist for the National Book Award and the Laurel Prize; a new nonfiction book, “I Just Want Them to Remember Me: Black Baseball in America”, is forthcoming. Phillips is the recipient of the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award, a Whiting Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, the PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing, the Nicolás Guillén Outstanding Book Award, and a 2025 American Academy of Arts and Letters Award. He is the poetry editor of The New Republic and the editor of the Princeton Series of Contemporary Poets. He lives in New York City and Barcelona.
