Julia Brunner

Julia Brunner, born in 1983, lives in Berlin and tells stories as an artist in image and sound, often together with other people. Her thematic point of reference is the urban space - with its paths, spaces, breaks and areas of tension, the mental space - with its memories, things learned, observations and dreams, as well as their interweaving. Based on the idea of an interaction between structure and action, in her works she pursues the question of joint negotiation and design possibilities, experiments with forms for collective and yet multi-layered speech and interweaves everyday life in urban spaces and with spatial-social structures. She is rooted in the Kotti-Shop and from there co-founded the Berlin art lab SuperFuture.
